I mainly just wish it was standard to advertise the stage times well ahead of the day. Especially if I’m travelling and need to plan transport connections.
Hope they start at 9.55!
They should go on later and also force the audience to watch pornography
This is why I like to go to those album launch gigs. Pay for a CD. Get a gig. No support. Band on at 8ish home for the football results.
A Good night out
Feel like we’re getting Sean’s dregs when he starts a thread on here that he’s also posted on Twitter.
Absolutely fuck that (in the back of a van or taxi)
Remember that venue that announced a few years ago they weren’t going to advertise any stage times at all for some fucking stupid reason and everyone said they were silly? Well they were
I’m going to see Ryley Walker in London specifically because the gig ends early enough to get the train back to the Midlands. Good lad
Every band and venue should be legally obligated to give info in the los camp format (preferably months in advance like they do too)
Except that the single train after 9.45pm from Birmingham to Leicester leaves at 9.47pm.
It was the 100 club in London, iirc. They were al like “you should watch all the support bands!” when it was clearly because they wanted people buying drinks there instead of going to the pub first.
Tbf if you don’t live in a handful of major cities these days, if you really want to see a band it can often involve time off work and potentially hotels. It’s frustrating but what can you do.
Actually the bands you like are the ones with the terrible songs!
And how!
And a decreasing number of major cities too, the entire Midlands is increasingly being skipped over (but sure, do that special date in Margate alongside London and Brighton, why don’t you)
Get a better job and move to a bigger city! Simple!
i like staying out, I just wish there were later trains. all the trains should carry on until midnight
sean, please use your music industry connections to action that for me
Yeule finished before 9.30 on a Friday night and I was just like “What do I do now?”
I feel like in Nottingham most gigs do end by 10. Would still like it a bit earlier though.
