I absolutely love vocal samples in music, mainly stemming from 80s/90s industrial variants and 90s hip-hop. Many of those samples are etched in my brain from those days. Might even have a previous thread specifically about vocal samples.
Spoken word segments I’d have a harder time remembering specific tracks, I like that stuff but they never stuck in my mind the same way. Probably because they blend in with the song more compared to an obvious sample that isn’t spoken by the vocalist. Faith No More’s “Just a Man” was a great example. I’ll have to check out the others in the thread.
