Squarepusher

Enjoyed everything up through Hello Everything (heh) + Ufabulum and from memory it’s

  1. Hard Normal Daddy
  2. Feed Me Weird Things = Music Is Rotted One Note = Go Plastic
  3. Selection Sixteen = Do You Know Squarepusher
  4. Ultravisitor = Hello Everything = Ufabulum

I didn’t care for Just a Souvenir, d’Demonstrator, or Damogen Furies and the more recent ones just haven’t gotten enough plays to rank but they’re not gonna touch the classics.

These EPs should not be overlooked:

  • Port Rhombus EP
  • Big Loada
  • Budakhan Mindphone
  • Square Window

Love big loada

Also a big fan of buzz caner if that counts

:raised_hands:

Music is Rotted One Note is my clear fave, with the EPs released after close behind. Then probably Ultravisitor and Hard Normal Daddy

Think this was the era he was making a lot of his infamous archive tracks. Though I could be wrong.

  1. Hard Normal Daddy
  2. Ultravisitor
  3. Hello Everything
  4. Go Plastic
  5. Ufabulum

Big love for Burningn’n Tree too though it’s technically a compilation… of unheard/unpublished tracks. Be Up A Hello was a good return after the turgid Damogen Furies but not enough to break my top 5.

I like it. Not in my top 5 though!

New album is sounding great!

Reckon it’ll hold up against anything older than 20 years?

Probably not but it’s a very strong album with a heavy nod to orchestral music. It’s like nothing in his library that he’s done before.

Interesting. I hope I’m in the mood to give it a proper go, because revisiting a few of those older albums recently has been fun.

Edit, and one of the things I liked about them was they were distinct pieces.

there are some cool moments on this, but it really needs an edit. Also a few too many moments that sounds like messing around with presets on the keyboards at school.

been there

Who knew that all Squarepusher really wanted to do was put out an album of mid 90s Final Fantasy battle music?

Some nice bits on this but can’t see it being something I’d want to revisit unfortunately, it’s very 6/10-y

My musical career.

This is pretty fun to have on in the background while pushing pixels.
