Was on record saying he was prepared to be fired from The Office rather than film as planned during the strikes.

I’ve lost interest in football in recent years but as an Everton supporter he was a fantastic keeper during the 80s and 90s.
Turns out he’s as good of a bloke as he was a keeper. Top guy.

He’s such a nice bloke, met him once whilst watching Wales v England, managed to get in a hospitality box which he was also in. We were too nervous to speak to him until we’d had a few pints but glad we did as he was super nice and friendly!!
