I think Cody will be off for a little while doing his weird Snoop talent show. I’d be really surprised if he had a match on the ppv, although maybe he’ll return on it or just after. I think the Bucks and Omega will be losing again, in as flukey or screwy as possible so they can switch to proper heels because if I’m honest the attacking people and throwing money schtick the Bucks are up to isn’t really doing it for me. I read somewhere Cody was penciled in to make an appearance on Dynamite in the next few weeks, though I’m not sure whether that’s bollocks or not. I hope he waits a while longer. I don’t think he’ll be doing Full Gear either though regardless.

Surprisingly little G1 talk so far on here. I very much enjoyed night 1. I thought Suzuki vs Ishii and Okada vs Ibushi were both great I’m not much of a fan of Okada’s cobra clutch finisher, though.
Still need to catch up on some of night 2. I’ve not particularly enjoyed KENTA in NJPW or WWE for that matter but I thought he his match with Goto was good.
I’ve got a friend who is new to NJPW and is absolutely loving the G1 so far so I’m excited for it.

Undoubtedly one of the best teams ever in their own way. No psychology needed, no selling needed, just go in with a great look and a great finisher and fuck up people’s day. But all in all quite a sad story with both of them going so young, maybe they should’ve been easier on their bodies in the long run. Also a shame he felt so left behind by the popularity of women’s wrestling etc in the modern era, but he’ll be an undoubtedly huge influence on tag teams forever.

Not sure if this is the right time what with todays news, but just saw Pillman Jr for the first time in a long while… He’s ‘grown’ so much and already has a HGH gut at 27 y/o. You’d think he’d learn from from what happened to his Dad, Davey, Neidhart etc, but we know how this business is.

A real shame but so long as he doesnt have any complications or a very bad reaction he’ll be back well in time for the Oct 14th title match. Having world title matches every week is quite Attitude era so I hope we just get promos for the two episodes in between, but hopefully it goes well!
