Welcome to The Final Countdown Graps Fans!
We find ourselves already in the final quarter of a pretty fantastic 2024, yet there is still plenty of great wrestling to come!
Just this upcoming week alone we have a massive show from each of the three major promotions so let’s do it to it!
WWE - Bad Blood (October 5th) & Survivor Series: War Games (November 30th)
We kick off this Saturday with the return of the “Bad(d) Blood” PPV, in which The Bloodline either gets buried or returns The Tribal Chief to the top of it, Dirty Dom is suspended in a cage and CM Punk and Drew presumably the blow off to their feud by tipping their hat to the match that started it all between Shawn and Taker at Badd Blood '98.
Here’s the full card:
1 Liv Morgan (c) (with “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio vs. Rhea Ripley Singles match for the Women’s World Championship
Mysterio will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage.
2 Damian Priest vs. Finn Bálor
3 CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre Hell in a Cell match
4 Nia Jax (c) vs. Bayley Singles match for the WWE Women’s Championship
5 Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns vs. The Bloodline Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu (with Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa)
It should be a fun show, Nia Jax aside, as even the grudge match between Priest and Bálor shows much promise, let’s just hope Punk doesn’t die doing something stupid his body clearly cannot take anymore, eh? After that NXT will do their annual Halloween Havoc, while the main roster will do their bi-annual contractual trip to an oil state which no one will watch, before WAR GAMES!
AEW - WrestleDream (October 12th), Full Gear (November 23rd) & World’s End (December 28th)
Three big AEW shows to come (including one of their “big four” in Full Gear) but not a lot to report at the time of writing yet as to what to expect from them, beyond a Continental Classic which will culminate at World’s End, and of course, the impending climax to Bryan Danielson’s career.
Things will likely become clearer after Dynamite’s 5th anniversary show but Danielson is scheduled to defend his title and career ve Okada tonight, followed by Moxley next Saturday in his (effectively) hometown of Tacoma, Washington at Wrestledream:
On a personal note, very excited to see what Ospreay and Ricochet can produce a whole eight (8!!!) years after their internet breaking, game changing Battle of the Super Juniors match in 2016 which if you somehow have never seen would recommend looking at below as a comparison point:

NJPW - King Of Pro-Wrestling (October 14th) & Royal Quest IV (October 20th)
So, the big question over in Japan is, IS WRESTLING COMING HOME? Zack Sabre Jr cashes in his G1 Climax victory acquired title shot vs Naito at the historic Ryōgoku Kokugikan and promises to bring the title back with him to London a week later at Royal Quest where if successful, his first defence will come against previous year long champion SANADA.
Quite annoyed I’ve just realised this is taking place on a Monday and I’ve just swapped from Mondays off to Fridays so I’m going to have to desperately avoid spoilers on the 14th!
What are we all excited for as the nights get longer? See ya in the funny pages!
