Is that Forks? Haven’t watched that yet (cued up for tonight).
I enjoyed the insights into him that you got in Fishes - how he was a completely different person with ‘the lads’ to how he was with his wife. I think that’s really accurate and beautifully portrayed.
One thing that’s increasingly clear is that being around Mikey is not healthy for anyone, especially Richie who is particularly impressionable

Nothing particularly insightful from me, but fuck me that was so good. The use of music throughout. That final song hit me so hard.
The overall series is brilliant but the episodes Honeydew, Fishes, and Forks, are genuinely amazing pieces of TV.
On the music side of things, i had to go and watch the last 10 mins of S1 Ep8 and have a wee sob along to Let Down.
Ahh, man, going to miss hanging out with that crew.

Only halfway through (just finished Fishes) and yeah, what an incredible bit of telly. So well done, think Odenkirk was maybe a bit much but everyone else was so good. Could have a whole spin-off with Stevie alone (“Do I have access to $500? Yes, I’m a 43-year-old man.”) Richie and Tiff were such a good portrayal of a couple. JLC was fantastic.
Have been surprised so far that the tension felt dialled back in some ways and like Theo said upthread, kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop. Maybe Fishes is part of that.
Interested to see where things end up with Claire. She just seems a bit MPDG? Like it’s too good to be true. And they seemed way too old to end up at a party like they did. But will finish the season before I pass full judgement.

Their ages don’t really make sense - I think Carmy’s supposed to be in his late twenties, and Richie said he was 45 at one point, so Mikey was presumably around that too, with everyone else somewhere in between - but they make lots of references to them all growing up together that wouldn’t fit into this.
Still good though.
Watched ep 1 last night. I enjoyed it, but the TV thought it was too screamy and shouty - I doubt it does due to the environment, but does it get more chill?

Came in to say similar. This is such a good series. Really tugs on the heartstrings in a very original way. Some very innocuous moments got me really choked up - like Tina doing karaoke.

I didn’t think it was as consistently tense as the 1st season but when it gets tense it is far more fraught than season 1.
Tina was great this whole season, just lovely watching her character get more confident because of the trust Sidney and Carmy have for her and support everyone else around her. You get the sense without her the place would fall apart. I loved that Kareoke scene

Just finished it. One of the best seasons of TV I’ve ever seen. Fishes and Forks in particular were stunning. Give JLC all the awards. Also, Oliver Platt is absolutely brilliant in every scene he’s in, a real MVP.
Spoilers for the ending:
I was a tad disappointed that it all collapsed into everyone screaming at each other in the end. All the progress they make kind of collapses as soon as the lights are on, which is real, but it kind of hurts. I was never convinced by Claire as a character but I think the idea of giving Carmy a way out makes perfect sense, and it’s tragic to watch him fumble the bag. Don’t know where it will go next, although I’m pretty sceptical they’re going to pay back Uncle J $800k in 18 months given that most restaurants barely break even.
