The Field - Infinite Moment

Well, the name of the album is Infinite Moment, so truth in advertising?

honestly couldn’t disagree more vehemently

Yeah, for me his music definitely works best when it’s stretched out and trance-inducing. 10-mins plus for a track is absolutely fine!

Anyone else sing the title of this album to the tune of Infinite Content off the most recent Arcade Fire banger?

No, nor me…

He was From Here We Go sublime last night. Crowd was properly in to it, they really got moving for Divide Now which sounded huge. Infinite Moment was just glorious too. Huge applause at the end.

He looked like he had just arrived at the venue when he came on. Still had a backpack on when he took to the stage, was quite amusing.

Massive love for The Field, always amazing to see live and last night was no exception!

Liked the way that he indicated that there would be no encore by taking his coat with him

The whole thing sounded great last night - Corsica has a fine soundsystem tbf. First time I’ve seen him without live bass/drums - still massive, but prefer it with the live instrumentation I think. As you say, nice to see the crowd into it from the off :+1: Bit short though - only just over an hour…

I never got to see him with a band and I’m always a little disappointed but still think he’s great overall.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it just came down to costs, which is fair enough.

UK tour at the end of the year. Just got two tickets for London. Saturday night so should be particularly excellent

This is very tempting, especially being on a Saturday

I wish he’d tour with a live band again.

Cheers for this. Got tickets for Glasgow, he’s playing the hug and pint which is tiny, should be good

New date at Water Rats on Jan 21st. Didn’t know Water Rats had started putting gigs on again.

I saw that too - - I think someone’s listed that incorrectly on Songkick etc. as The Field, as according to the venue it’s this: https://www.thewaterratsvenue.london/facebook-event/danny-pedler-greg-russell-field-and-dyke/

I got a bit too excited about ending 2019 and starting 2020 with 2 The Field gigs for a minute…

The swines!
