The Pains of Being Pure at Heart

Are back together (first album line-up) and touring next year, but only in Spain. Fingers crossed for a few UK dates.

Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere - I’ve not spotted it.

Nice! Love that record…

I posted it in the indiepop thread a little while ago but it’s not very active.

There’s also a record coming out of all the b-sides etc from that era, which is exciting.

All I’ll say is that there are conversations happening for uk shows towards the end of next year…

Wife and I saw them touring Belong and when she bought their CD at the end, Kip offered to sign it, she said “no that’s OK” but he insisted on doing it anyway. He didn’t have a pen so we spent ages standing there while he tried to find one with a queue of people behind us.

Good band.

Old wollen in Leeds (kinda leeds)
Band on the wall in manchester

Not the usual circuit then

Tempted by that London show as I never saw them the first time around and I do like the Garage. It just seems “pricey”.

I’m going to see them in Spain next month but Bedford is where my mum lives…

Same venue as their first London date in February 2008 with the current projects from members of the bands/singer that supported them then.

Blimey, Spiral Scratch is not a name I’ve thought of for a very long time.
