I can’t stand Robby at this point, for a main character he’s insanely unlikeable. Some of this is Wyle himself i think, he used to more or less bully costars on ER, Kellie Martin in particular, and it ended up bleeding into his actual character on the show. He’s basically playing the same character here, i think they changed it officially due to threat of being sued by the Crichton estate. Everyone else on the show feels like a real character, but he’s just Wyle/Carter2.0 to me
Great show, stayed up to silly hours binging the first series last year with how it ramped up. Hard to pick favourites as a good core set of characters, there’s only one role that I didn’t think worked in the first series and that was the acting of Robby’s stepson
Has taken a bit of getting used to watching the new series weekly, plus one of the stories for a few episodes was a little too close to home. In the latest episode (S2E12) the scalp injury was quite something, plus been enjoying the arc of Dr Kwon
Be interesting to see if they ever do a season focusing on the night shift at some point.
Probably the best medical drama I’ve ever seen. Think it comes out on top of previous faves (Bodies and This Is Going To Hurt).
Superbly written, staged and acted. Get the feeling it cant be an easy one for an actor to do: it must be claustrophobic basically being in that ‘pit’ nonstop scene after scene, just in different positions and conversations, needing to keep focus on where your character is right now.
finished season 1 last night. properly incredible TV. obviously 12 and 13 in particular were just so well done. very excited to power through the next season before the finale next week.
