Things to do in Mallorca

Has anyone been that can give some pointers?

As far from Brits abroad as possible obvs. Going in September.

Whereabouts are you going? We went to Palma de Mallorca a few weeks ago and I loved it. There was a bit of Brits Abroad depending where you go but it’s got a lovely old town, some great places to eat and a lot of art - visiting Miro’s studio was a highlight.

It was mostly Germans Abroad actually

We’re there for 2 weeks so we’re planning on seeing lots of it. Getting some diving in, hopefully drinking the local wine.

Palma is the first stop.

If you like art I can recommend a visit to Miro’s studio and if you like cacti then have a trip to Botanicactus. Those are my abiding memories of Mallorca.

Valdemossa is beautiful

If you’re not driving it’s fun to get the old wooden train from Palma to Sóller, if you are driving go to Sóller anyway and get the old wooden tram to Port de Sóller

I was very pleasantly surprised by Mallorca but there’s no getting around it, cycling and birdwatching were the main attractions.

The town of Palms is really nice.

Best meal we had in Palma was here; you need to book in advance.

If you’re in Palma on a Tuesday there’s a tapas crawl called the Ruta Martiana where bars around town do cheap pintxos

The food market in Palma has a great sushi stall, thinkk ot was this one, it was definitely this market

And nearby is a totaly banging restaurant on carrer de pursiana but i cant seem to find which one, maybe its gone, that street seems good for food though.

Had a nice fancy lunch here https://www.marcfosh.com/

Love Palma and love Mallorca  That little yellow train to Soller is cute. Would love to go to Deia sometime, have passed through, but its just rich and famous people living there.

Possibly the best 40km out and back (from Pollensa) you’ll ever do

love mallorca.
as a few folk have said the train from palma to soller is lovely, as is the port of soller. Deia & Valdemossa are gorgeous, this place in valdemossa https://www.estallervalldemossa.com/ is one of the best places i’ve ever eaten.
I love Pollenca old town, the market on the sunday just has the best produce, love it. You need to walk up the calvari steps as well, you can get a beer or an ice cream at the top.
Formentor hotel is lovely albeit pretty expensive, lovely beach there as well. I know Puerto Pllensa the best as i’ve had many a holiday there over the years. Love it, lots of good places to eat and drink. Lovely walks and bike rides to go on.

Yeah, this was one of the highlights. Out from Alcudia to Formentor with the last 10/15 km on basically closed roads.

I get in lateish on the 11th. Whereabouts you staying?

We’ll be in Palma around then. We’re doing some wreck diving on the 12th
