Dislike the garish bombastic drums, the melodramatic vocal, the insipid doo doo doos and the cheeky chappy landfill indie cover version this inspired.
Good shout. Ugh.
omg great shout. So so awful.
Probably Bohemian Rhapsody but also National Express by The Divine Comedy.
That Disturbed cover is terrible but it’s far too odd to truly hate. Really intrigued as to why they, an at best second rate nu metal band, decided to do a cover of a Simon and Garfunkel song in a style that’s clearly beyond the vocal capability of their singer.
That Dance Monkey one as well, always gives me the jitters when it comes on the radio.
Keep trying to put an Oasis song forward, but realise that I hate every single one of them, so need to narrow things down a bit. So…
Such a banger
America by Razorlight is up there too
So much better than the original.
Also this, which was on the radio a lot at a time when I got a lift to work from someone who listened to Radio 1 exclusively. So bad I genuinely thought it was a piss-take.
Ed Sheeran - Castle On The Hill.
Terrible song.
Horrible stuff. This is one of those songs that will forever be linked to when I endlessly listened to my local commercial local radio saltation in the mid 1990s (and should stay there tbh).
Also, Queen - Radio Gaga. Very irritating.
anything with WA OH! in it is going to wind me up I think
there’s that other one around that time that goes like “WA OH she moves in her own way” or something, that gets under my skin as well
Professional Widow, that’s terrible too.
Oh yeah that one actually is rubbish
ITT: People hating on both some of the worst songs and the best songs ever written
Opinions eh?
who can say which is which?
