What's everyone doing next month?

This is the sub/side thread that nobody was expecting to come from the original Nan: The Movie thread :slightly_smiling_face:

Exam Question:

Discuss UK 70s and 80s cultural television broadcasting and sensitivities using the upcoming Nan: The Movie as the starting point.

I bet this trailer has all of the vaguely ‘good’ bits too.

I quite like Catherine Tate. Think this will be utter horse poo though. Who’s it even appealing to?

Is it the live laugh love beveragino lot?

I remember critics trying to out do each other in their criticisms/sarcasm of United Passions. This will be another of those.

Live blog pls

I can’t get my phone out in the cinema and disturb everyone else in what will surely be a packed out screen!!

Take notes and upload later?

Obviously you don’t want to be distracting anyone from what is very likely to be a Best Picture contender at next year’s Oscars, but maybe if you went to a few screenings and quietly made some notes with pen and paper I think you’d be ok

You can pretend to be one of those critics who has to go and watch the Keith Lemon movie or something on their own at midday on a Friday because it hasn’t been press-screened.

I’ll get a light up pen

Big month for Catherine.

You have to watch one:

  • Nan Movie
  • HARD CELL

there is no “eternal suffering” section

assumed HARD CELL was a series, so Nan Movie would be over faster
