What's the worst decline a band/musician has ever had?

From releasing solid gold to solid shit .

It’s probably Weezer isn’t it? Yeah. It’s Weezer.

I give this 13 more minutes before it gets turned into another Pumpkins thread…

Judging by the back end of the singles compilation, Can.

Lets make the most of it then!

Death Cab For Cutie fit. Last 3 albums have all been disappointing.

It’s Arcade Fire. There’s a case for Weezer but it’s complicated because they’re more of a business at this point.

Everything Now is essentially 47 minutes of this.

And Reflektor is horrendous. I heard Here Comes the Nighttime on the radio the other day and it might be the worst song written by a formerly good band.

I like Here Comes the Nighttime :flushed:

Zeitgeist and Oceania are great albums (Monuments and Shiny too, they just don’t have the same scope), and there’s a bunch of great unreleased material too. It’s not the original run, which was the most magical thing ever, but there’s still a bunch of really good music that came out of the reunion. Not for everyone of course, but there’s no way it should be considered alongside Weezer and Arcade Fire. It’s more along the lines of new Modest Mouse or new Sleater-Kinney than that.

PiL. By the late 80’s/early 90’s they were truly atrocious.
