He always has the best support acts

Remember you like whoever the support was when I saw him the first time, can’t recall the name though as it was pretty bad/ungoogleable

… so it was the album name that was a bit forgettable then  (O.K.)

Cross The Sea in particular makes me feel things

No Bitterness is so good, when it breaks into that second half riding the drums - sublime

Record’s comfortably his best imho. Can’t wait for the tour.

Not sure it makes his top 3 for me and that’s no slight on the album!

Excited to have more time with it, when I saw him in august only the singles had been released so the rest was fun but a bit lost on me

Wish I liked this more but there are some lyrical themes that annoy me. It’s not grabbing me much musically, either, but I’m due a revisit in the coming weeks.

Guys, I really loved DSU years ago but I’ve not listened to anything he’s done since that. Anyone care to make me a playlist?

50 mins, kept it to 4 tracks from each album, just in chronological order so I’d say stick it on shuffle. He’s gone down some fun odd genre paths too which you get in the full albums, but I stuck to the best standout songs here really

Still don’t quite get on board with this guy, as hard as I’ve tried to like him

Objectively it’s the kind of thing I think I should like. He’s clearly got some chops, is steeped in a kinda 90s slackerdom that I’m a sucker for, seems like a GBOL, etc

But beyond a tune or two on each record, most of it doesn’t really land for me. Some of it’s positively annoying, which is problematic (ie. every record has a number of things that are not simply mediocre enough to wash over you, but are annoying enough to call to action the need to skip). A lot of the autotune/vocal pitching he does makes me feel kinda queasy

Liiiike, that tiny desk thing just posted is great, IMHO he could do with stripping the contrived production idiosyncrasies down a bit on record, they’re a bit tedious

But then, I mean wtf do I know, he seems to be doing alright for himself, eh

Love me some contrived production idiosyncrasies personally
