I like some Nirvana songs these days if that helps
Dirt and Jar of Flies are brilliant.
did they do that song on GTA San Andreas that was like “gonna end up a big ol pile of them bones HEEEEY!”?
I used to look forward to that song coming up, that and the Toots song Pressure Drop
It’s the first track on dirt
might give that a spin next time I’m out for a country walk then!
I’m going through a big Alice in chains phase at the moment. I love them, and all their Layne Staley albums. I’ve never really engaged much with the post-Layne stuff, I don’t think I want to break the spell…
The first post layne album ive found to be pretty good
To be fair I did enjoy one of Jerry Cantrell’s solo albums so I could probably also enjoy this, I just need to work up the courage. I always feel quite affected by the way Layne and Mike Starr ended up and there’s something that feels quite untouchable about the OG lineup for me so I haven’t dipped in yet. Maybe today is the day…
yeah it’s good but oddly not really one of my favourite REM songs, feel like it goes on a bit too long. I’m more of a Nightswimming guy
Ah it gives me tingles that performance. I just enjoyed you going from saying REM were shite to liking them over the years
yeah they are a quality band, seem very sincere about their art
Just realised I’m 10 years older than Layne Staley got to be. He was 34, FFS. Born the same year as Kurt. And yet in my head he was like this older guy who got too fucked up to carry on, but it was the addiction and the sorrow that wasted him away.
I guess you could say they get the seal of approval
I enjoy a What’s In My Bag every now and then but this was genuinely delightful, his picks are absolutely cracking and his knowledge of them shines through. But yeah, would never have pegged Seal for an AIC fan. Lovely!
wow this is what I needed to see today.
Starts with Harvest 50th deluxe
One of the greatest songs ever written
