The Wembley show in 2013 was also my 30th. What a way to spend it:
Also went to this. Not quite on my birthday sadly but still
Tbh would probably pay my £75 just to hear a full stadium singing along to Hungry Heart…

Both times I’ve seen him, he’s played Save My Love, and that’s been amazing both times. Got in the front area at Wembley when they just randomly did Darkness the whole way through, and took our sign request. Best, best show.
Big fan of this thread.
Listened to Atlantic City earlier on the way home from work, still absolutely floors me years and years after first hearing it. He recorded Nebraska in his garage on a 4 track in his garage right? Incredible how great it sounds, the guitar and harmonica overdubs are so great, stunning song.
its his best album
What was the sign request
Tell me any other artist on planet earth that can rock a pair of blue jeans like the boss. That’s right none.
ahem
Alex Cameron
He’s got his own Radio 2 show now.
Is he still ‘The Boss’ then?!
he is now “The Honorary President”
He’s essentially sold his (speculative) future revenue from his back catalogue for a (guaranteed) upfront sum, to the media conglomerate he’s been working with his entire career and (to my knowledge) has never expressed any dissatisfaction with, which makes him quite unique amongst his peers. I don’t think it’s really a big deal?
(And I don’t think he’s retiring - as said in many pieces, lots of his peers have done this and they’ve carried on working)
Oh my god Badlands, this is just amazing. People in the album club thread weren’t overselling this at all.
Put this on the big new telly a couple of Saturdays ago. Better and more fun than most actual gigs I’ve been to tbh.
A few seconds of an unheard version of Born in the USA courtesy of album engineer, Toby Scott. It’s basically a full band version of the Nebraska-era recording on Tracks:
Where’d the summer tour go
