Choruses are for losers and nerds (songs without a noticeable chorus)

Great thread, have a good evening everyone!

Anyway, here’s In Dreams by Roy Orbison, and Jumping Fences by the Olivia Tremor Control, for that matter.

Bonus points for literally just being entirely un-repeating - i.e. not even verses.

Feel like I post Thunder Road in 95% of threads like this, but still…

Surely the greatest (just one repeated line, three verses, no chorus).

Can’t believe this song has no drums chorus

For someone who makes music, I’m amusingly bad at clocking song structures and the like. Only found out what a middle eight is this year, and it doesn’t occur to me when a pop song lacks a chorus or whatever

How do you feel about the joke in “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” where they’re going under a bridge?

And of course, possibly the best song by The Smashing Pumpkins.

Third Dystopia by Youth Lagoon

quite surprising just how few choruses there are in early Roxy Music given how big they were…

Lots of ‘story songs’ fit in this thread. Vincent
Black Lightning is my favourite story song and has no chorus at all

See also The Mariner’s Revenge Song etc
