I felt that Autolux started weaving a bit of Radiohead into their sound on their second and (especially) third albums. Not a lot, mind. But I do enjoy an opportunity to mention Autolux, so I’ll take this opportunity while I can.
Frank Ocean
Sunn 0))), in the way that they don’t have a drummer.
New band called Blonde Bunny kicking around London. Definitely saw elements of Radiohead when I went to see them. Pretty remarkable live actually
Was going to post Liars.
WIXIW definitely bears a Kid A resemblance… This is not a bad thing, it’s the best thing they’ve done. Was a bit disappointed with Mess.
Must be due a new album soon.
Yeah I didn’t like Mess so much, but the second half really picks up. Can’t Hear Well’s very good.
Grizzly Bear
Bat For Lashes
Hah! I’m the other way round! I bloody love the first half of Mess, but not fussed about the second.
Takes all sorts, eh?
It takes all sorts.
How do you feel about They Were Wrong So We Drowned? It seems like their most divisive album, but it’s one of my favourites by anyone.
I don’t have it. I have a chequered history with Liars. Only really individual songs around the Drums Not Dead time, a couple of Liars and Sisterworld bits, but WIXIW was the first full album that I really fully got into. And I totally fell in love with the bonkers party music of Mess.
Ah OK. You should get it - it’s a midnight pagan nightmare that Rolling Stone described as “unlistenable”.

Think you’ll find it was squidpan that influenced radiohead.
Don’t try to pin the blame for Radiohead on squid pan, thanks
Sold.
i like Mess a lot, it’s a lot of fun, although WIXIW might have more staying power maybe.
I like the punk one best. Liars? Also We Were Wrong…
That Rolling Stone review has always baffled me!
