I rewatched Dead Reckoning last night. Lots of fun. Two thoughts: they have not re-edited it to take out the Part 1 branding, which I thought was pretty odd. And people sure loved putting this very important key in their jacket pocket. At least go for an inside one!!!

he can pretty much work a room like no one i’ve ever seen tbh. seems to remember absolutely everyone he’s ever met and never stops smiling. being completely insane probably helps.

Re-watched the second one for the first time in ages, easily the worst one of the lot, rather telling that even though it was a huge hit (second biggest film of 2000!) they pretended it never happened afterwards and did a whole course correction a la James Bond after Die Another Day. The snarling misogyny of the villain is the only sort of interesting thing in it, but it’s a character trait in search of a better character (no surprise this film killed Dougray Scott’s Hollywood career stone dead) and film
