Fortnite / PUBG etc

It’s weird, because I remember playing a Battle Royale mod for the original Half-life, and it was great, and then no one else had really nailed it in the near 20 years since.

Stopped listening to the Giant Bombcast because all they talked about for 6 months was PUBG.

any shooter things with military weapons and stuff, CSGO, PUBG, Rust, guarantee at least one person will have an actual Nazi officer photo as their steam pic.

Fortnite is the one the kids play right? Probably even worse then

Yeah, I only play with friends. Which means I only have a few games every couple of weeks maybe. If anyone asks this is why I’m so bad at it.

I only knew this thread would be about a computer game thanks to chat with my cutting edge friend @cowtipping

The nerd doth protest too much…

Never played either and probably won’t cause online multiplayer doesn’t appeal, but that video of Nadia Sawalha going “hey parents of the Internet, my son’s playing this thing could The Fort Night and it turns him proper violent; what is it? does anyone know?” as if you can’t just Google it rly easily made me chortle openly

  • nazi enjoys thing
  • everything about thing is nazi

it’s a pretty high frequency though. Maybe they’re just everywhere. Even saw one in Rocket League the other day!

Probably just all online games apart from lovely Nintendo

think it’s the ever-decreasing play area which sets the ones from the last coupla years apart from ye olde mods. i remember watching minecraft ‘hunger games’ videos back in the old days before pubg and friends became a thing. you know, the good old times. of minecraft.

TBF We played them before they became cool

that is true. we are pretty cool.

I remember pubg before you could vault small walls!

Kids today dont know the struggle and planning that went into getting around a small wall

Yeah, I think you’re right. I guess that’s as a result of the Hunger Games having it as a thing.

i prefer playing PUBG with friendos cos there’s enough down time just to talk shite inbetween getting sniped from 400m away.
Fortnite more fun solo cos i can build stupid structures to my heart’s content without getting moaned at by someone for boxing them in cos they can’t be bothered learning how to edit walls. pfft.

did the BR movie not have a shrinking battle area? it’s been quite a while since i saw it. i know i’m super cool ‘n’ all but haven’t read the book
