🎵 How Good Are They Really 🎵 Eminem

I can picture it. There was a thread about it a few years back. It’s about 12 minutes long. (Maybe set in pre-9/11 New York? But I might be imagining this)

ICPs stock has gone up? Maybe Juggalos stock have but not the groups

Moby’s, on the other hand…

I’m not going to be satisfied until we’ve got MathRap with an alternating 13/8 7/4 structure.

It has just sorta remained which is probably a win all of it’s own tbf to them

Does this deserve a critical reappraisal?

I know we joke about ICP but this is actually a low-key banger

TIL Danny Brown did a track with ICP and Rhyno is in the music video.

Actually going back to the whole rapping is just talking thing, I totally understand it if you listened to stuff like ICP. Zero technical skill

i used to listen to marshall mathers LP at full blast in my bedroom when i was 12 and looking back i can only imagine what my rents must have made of something like kym lol

2/5 because he fell off catastrophically. in terms of pure technique he’s one of the 2 or 3 greatest. there’s obviously a huge amount of talent and at times even self-awareness there but it gets lost in the controversial nature of much of his output.

also the production on MM LP is incredible. seriously listen to the instrumentals of the last half especially. so good.
