šŸŽµ How Good Are They Really šŸŽµ Limp Bizkit

I had this Korn bootleg where they played this but Fred wasn’t there, so they used the recordings from the album version. Which was weird enough, but the bootlegger had also really mixed down the crowd noise.

So this just sounded like Jon Davis shouting at his TV in a big echoey room.

Brilliant

Well, he explicitly states that the generation he’s talking about is generation X so are you saying that a load of teenage millennials didn’t care about shouting along to a song that was about the generation above them?

Genuinely one of my favourite bands, and probably one of the most longstanding in my life. Don’t think any kid between 27-32ish now wasn’t obsessed with them. Was meant to fly to Prague to see them before Covid hit. Can’t wait for the 2022 tour.

Bittersweet Symphony?

Yeah I had to look it up to check it was right when I was writing the list. Really wish I hadn’t.

Sounds like the Bon Iver song everyone pretended was good for a month or so

I was one of them so… yeah

Look at how much nu metal I enjoyed this weekend…

That run of Killswitch Engage to Faith No More was great fun.

Think I’d have gone home on the Sunday

I watched ZZ Top then did just that.

Pendulum were huge with the metal crowd at that time. You’d constantly hear them at metal nights when they were at their peak.

Chocolate Starfish has a lot of basic shit on other than Take A Look Around which is absolutely superb

Wes clearly knows what he’s doing when he’s at the top of his game creating weird, interesting, fun grooves (that the rhythm section are capable of delivering very well)

Fred Durst is both a bellend and lovable idiot

going with a listen to the CD of Significant Other that’s right next to me before scoring

would go and see them at a festival if they were on which I can’t say about most bands

Mad.

The continued ironic* appreciation of Limp Bizkit is a joke I got bored of a long time ago. They’re fucking awful. Fred Durst is a shithouse. Their popularity was a crime we should all look back on with shame and horror.

My friends insisted we go see them at a festival on the idea it’d somehow be funny but 10 minutes in when Durst was insisting all the women on people’s shoulders get topless I had the realisation that enabling that prick to have a continued career in music is a damning indictment of my g–g-generation. History will not forgive us.

ā€˜*Actually horseman I think you’ll find I like them unironically!’

Oh that’s worse. That’s so much worse.

Anyone giving them more than a 1 is objectively wrong.
Worst band of all time

That is still the RHCP.

No qualms at all with anyone enjoying it at the time but longing back fondly on it now just seems odd

Like the musical equivalent of Bo Selecta
