Not sure I’m going to manage something every day but I’m off to a flying start with this little improv

If I had Jookish admin skills I probably would have thought well in advance and come up with a pivot-tabled contest involving the whole board & a winning Jam/Jam partner combo release at the end of the month

what does this mean exactly? You could do this from inside your shell. It doesn’t need to be a video. Kind of the whole point of Jamuary is to just do something throwaway without overthinking or giving too much of a fuck

I just meant I tend to have a quite slow process generally. Would quite like to do one smallish thing a day if it wasn’t for the looming return to work!

Just turn on your gear and press record. Press stop after 10 mins. Upload. Repeat each day until Feb 1
loads of new ideas and a steep learning curve beyond inhibitions (he says… probably wont do another)

Nope. The combination of a 7 month old plus a couple of mega-projects at work all properly kicking off from next week means very little time for music.

I’m still in the process of selling loads of mine! Stripping it all back so I’m as focused as possible when I get 5 mins to write and record. And be a bit more mobile too.

We already have a piano! Albeit a digital, but full scale, full size-weighted keys etc. Sounds and feels like the real thing.
I can’t actually play piano to save my life though. Might try to actually learn a little this year. See if I can re-learn to sight-read and get a bit more music theory under my belt.

I love a piano
Finally got a really nice one in the living room back in July (here pictured right now)
I wish I had it down in the studio though, the one I’ve got down there has needed throwing out for a long time. 2 days ago I finally bought one of these for the studio but so far I haven’t had a chance to unbox it as I need to move the old piano out & take it to the dump or give it away to make the space
there’ll likely be some piano Jams this month
