I love love love this single. When I first heard it I was hoping for it to have a proper noisy ending, but on repeat listens this is so much more than that. Iā€™m obsessed. The chorus is incredible and if the whole album is this sexy and dance-y itā€™ll be a treat! Brilliant production too - so many great little things coming together here.

Two more singles:

Doves is very good, but Cinderella and Diva are something else. Really hyped for this album now, probably my currently most anticipated release. Listened to Dogsbody recently and forgot how danceable it isā€¦hope they lean into this for Pirouette (singles look positive).

Mentioned in the Jesus Lizard thread but Iā€™m disappointed theyā€™re playing the same night here. M/A is an early show but given they have an opener and Jesus Lizard does not, plus the distance between venues means I canā€™t see both. Did see M/A once before but would like to see them again.

i like the slower songs too but i reckon thereā€™s one too many and the pacing suffers. Nowadays I skip Divers - going from Slate into Amaranth with the slower songs at the end makes Dogsbody pretty perfect to me!

Saw they described Britneyā€™s Femme Fatale album as a big influence and you can really hear it on that song imo! Itā€™s so good.

Got very excited when ordering the record cos theyā€™ve got Dogsbody available to order as well. Got both.

I was a big fan of Dogsbody but I still felt they had room to grow as a band into something really special. Only one listen into Pirouette, but so far I can see signs of the kind of progression I was hoping for. Really great stuff. Early favourites, aside from singles, are the first and last tracks along with Acid Rain.

Edited because I mistakenly thought the track I really liked was Audience, not Acid Rain.

Yeah really enjoying it! Also really liked the last track too. Thereā€™s one track on there where he does a spoken word thing that sounded almost EXACTLY like Xiu Xiu.

Another band that I assume M/A bear a strong resemblance toā€¦but Iā€™m not familiar enough myself to make that comparison. Have listened to their 2024 album a few times recently and really enjoyed it, definitely see some similarity in vocals.
