What we got on the transition week, the blip, if you will?
I got an EP from emo aces Pool Kids, seemingly with their hardcore alter egos, Pool.
Not spun it yet but Pool Kids are def FFO Paramore etc, and fun bangers.

Iāve got zip this week. Very quiet for me.
New album from LYR, I really enjoyed their debut album so looking forward to giving this one a go. Spoken word lyrics mixed with post-rock.
FFO poet laureate Simon Armitage
Two main ones for me today
Grian chattern. (Of Fontaineās)
Angelo de Augustine (for fans of sufjan)
The Body - I Shall Die Here / Earth Triumphant
Noisy experimental metal
bdrmm - I Donāt Know
More vaguely shoegazey goodness from these guys, a bit more vibey and chilled than I remember them being before, but no bad thing
FFO DIIV
Good day for Hip-Hopā¦
The Alchemist - Flying High
EP featuring; Earl, Billy Woods, Boldy James, Larry June & more.
Curren$y & Harry Fraud - Vices
Iāve lost track of how many projects theyāve done together now, but always worth checking out with features including; Larry June, Benny The Butcher, Jim Jones & Rome Streetz
Domo Genesis - Red Corolla
This isnāt new, but itās new to streaming services today. Probably my favourite Domo project.
Divide and Dissolve
Two piece doom-drone band FFO Sunn 0))), The Body, Big Brave, Vile Creature
Cornelius
Havenāt fully enjoyed an album of his since Point, will give this a once over just in case heās rediscovered his magic
Have the body been worth listening to since their first album? Because that was pretty good but I havenāt bothered since
Finally!
Estrella del Sol - Figura de Cristal
Frontwoman of Mexican psych/shoegaze band Mint Field with her first solo album. Still a dream pop feel to this, but more ethereal and ambient, maybe leaning towards contemporary folk. Very lovely.
Brigid Mae Power - Dream from the Deep Well
Galway singer-songwriter. Great pre-release tracks from this, at least one of which reminded me of Aldous Harding.
Emergence Collective - Fly Tower
Improvisational minimalist collective, these three pieces recorded in the Fly Tower of the Abbeydale Picture House here in Sheffield. For fans of Steve Reich, Terry Riley.
Various Artists/Laura Cannell - ECHOLOCATION: Resonate From Here
Neo-classical, folk, electronic, medieval. The impossibly prolific Laura Cannell with this collection of collaborations as duos, remixes and re-workings, all using new and unheard material by Cannell as the starting point. Collaborators include Gazelle Twin, Kathryn Tickell and Nik Colk Void.
Letrux - Letrux como Mulher Girafa
Brazilian electro pop, something about being a giraffe woman? Might need to look up some lyric translations
Shady Bug - Whatās The Use? (EP)
New EP from St Louis based indie rockers
Been looking forward to Brigid Mae Power as well. Sounding lovely on first listen.
John Monroe & Field Music - Songs From The Shelf
Third founding member of FM teams back up with the industrious brothers for this EP.
None - Inevitable
About as bleak and miserable as black metal gets. Canāt wait to dig in!
Chuck Johnson - Burden of Proof (Soundtrack)
āCountry-ambientā composer scores a new HBO series.
John Carroll Kirby - Blowout
LA based jazz producer and keyboardist. Recently collaborated on the Eddie Chacon album.
Iād give āone day you will ache like I acheā a go
Hataalii - Singing into Darkness
deep-voiced troubadour whose serene surf-country songs
Will try the body and divide and dissolve, though I much prefer the ideas of both bands more than their music for the most part
