dig this. motown vibes. plus recorded live, which I think really comes across especially after the OTT pop madness of that last album. I liked it, but I understand why a lot of people didn’t.

I dunno, I reckon I can hear it (on that one track anyway!) Their band name Blacklab comes from Black Sabbath and Stereolab as apparently their two biggest influences.
Love Spielbergs, wonderful guys, great tunes but…really wish this album had better production. Sounds like it was recorded in a paper bag with an iPhone in 2007.

Absolutely. I really wanted more that was like the single though, which feels like a bit of an outlier compared to the Sabbathness of the rest of the album.

Bandcamp recommendation with pretty catchy tracks. Nice low throbbing bass with nice vocals. Her most commercially viable release so far and a great addition to the previous singles.

one track out from a new project feat. Kevin Hufnagel of Dysrhythmia and Vaura, etc. along with Jamie Myers who did the female vocals on the first WITTR record. sounds nice and spacey, well up for this.
Darn you Bandcamp! The worst thing about it is the complete mess of release dates. They made me thing there was a new Sarathy Korwar album too Apologies.
Still though really good album from an ace label

Franklin Gothic - Into the Light
Enjoyed this debut album by Portland (Oregon) solo artist Jay DiBartolo. It’s at its best for me on the more shoegazey tracks (putting me in mind of like Galaxie 500) but the slow jangly ones (think Teenage Fanclub) have got something too.
