Holy shit
I just listened to SB1 and SB2 back to back on a drive, is this… manifestation?!
Either way AOY polls are now closed

Quite looking forward to this album. Am assuming to whole thing is being produced by Roc Marciano, not just this single.

In other Roc Marciano news, I see Marcberg is returning to streaming soon for it’s 15th anniversary with a bonus track.
New Fly Anakin feels very ambitious - everything about it feels more polished and premium than previous projects, from the production through to the guest spots. That said, it didn’t really grab me on first listen and I started tuning out toward the end of the album but I’ll definitely revisit. Exec produced by Quelle Chris.

Looks like Boldy upcoming dates are cancelled. Fuck.
Aw damn, any mention of why?
Hasn’t released enough albums this year.
This Post Paid For By PROF$.
Seems to be down to issues with promoters

so bad ticket sales hah - but that would be fair, didn’t think he was at the level of doing a 900 and 500 venue in scotland on successive nights
Feel like maybe Boldy’s plan was to go big this year, but releasing mediocre projects every other week probably tests the patience of your existing fanbase more than growing it
Ah, that’s annoying. Had actually bought a ticket for the London show.
Yeah, his lack of quality control has definitely had an impact on my enjoyment of him. I still like him, I just rarely find myself in the mood to listen to him anymore.
think the quality is pretty consistent but that’s part of the problem, impossible to feel any enthusiasm for or attachment to someone’s fourth identical sounding 7/10 album of the year
also funny looking back at the last albums of his I really connected with
Bo Jackson - first of two projects that year
Indiana Jones - first of two projects that year
then he did 5 last year and is already on 5 this year - almost like giving people time to digest your stuff makes it hit harder
Yeah. I decided to revisit his stuff in preparation for the show and it was really tricky. I have a ticket for the billy woods show in October, and I kind of know he’ll do lots of stuff from the new album then probably some favourites from the last few albums. What album was Boldy’s tour for? Will I need to be familiar with all 5 from this year to get the most from the show?
Oh well. Kind of moot now I guess. Annoying as had loose plans to meet someone from the States who is due to be in London when the show was meant to be happening.
And FWIW I think my 3 favourites are Bo Jackson, Indiana Jones and Killing Nothing. In my head Manger on McNichols ranked high but I really didn’t enjoy my relistens. Not sure what happened there.
I did wonder if the sudden deluge from Boldy post his accident is at least in part Medical Bills related.
But then it’s not uncommon in the current era for rappers to be releasing 5 projects or more a year, so maybe not.
I’m still looking forward to the Real Bad Man & Nicholas Craven albums due this year, but I’m not as excited about them as I was as recently as December last year.
Of the ones he’s released so far this year I think the Chuck Strangers produced one is the best.
Agreed.
yeah same, was keen to see him for the setlist as much as anything, like what songs does he think are the important ones.
price of tea and indiana jones are my top two, no idea after that. agree about manger, which is a shame as it’s the one where he tries something a bit different
i like the richgains one the most as it’s the one that sounds least like the others, think i’m alone in that though
his last proper show setlist looks like this - annoying though as they’re all just listed as covers so can’t easily check how the albums are represented
one from August is Bo and Tea heavy
speaking of being overly productive … hadn’t bothered to check out CRIME for a minute, so going through his 2025 projects so far - enjoying This, Is Not That a lot so far
