Yeah I’m not saying it will be that good, would be a miracle! Let’s see though. I’m with you about the last album too, my least favourite De La album by some way. Feels like being burnt by the sample clearance thing led them to make an album that wasn’t really them.
They said they’re in talks to another album with Prince Paul too. Feel like they probably regret the 20 years they were stuck in limbo now and are more determined to put out music…
Was just listening to that. Think I prefer this new one, the one from earlier in the year was good, but also had a couple of annoying tracks I didn’t vibe with.
Got five tracks into the most recent Pink Siifu and had to turn it off. Felt maximalist in the worst way, everything turned up to the last and saying nothing.
Think I might be more into the MIKE and Tony Seltzer stuff than Showbiz tbh. New single co-produced by Clams Casino is great… Hyped for the MIKE and Surf Gang mixtape too, he sounds great over woozy cloud rap stuff
I have a version that some guy on a Wu-Tang message board made years ago. I could be wrong, but I have read that a ‘proper version/bootleg’ never actually surfaced and people have made versions based on the incorrect tracklist on the CD, but even that doesn’t quite match. Anyway - here’s the one I have. But have spotted others on Soulseek.

I enjoy Pinball by MIKE, but it’s definitely his weakest in the past 5/6 years. But that’s mostly because those style beats are a bit hit or miss for me. There’s a cheapness to them that I don’t like that I just can’t put my finger on. It needs a really good rapper like MIKE to make them shine and a lot of people that do rap over that style beat are normally annoying as fuck.
