Yeah, this Preservation & Gabe 'Nandez album is really fucking good. Reckon a fair few in here will dig it a lot.

it aint no supreme clientele but the new ghost is pretty decent, probably his best since idk, apollo kids?

Optimistic but the AI Looney Tunes cover and the fact that track one is just called “Intro by Redman” both indicated that maybe it’s not a 10/10 classic

Retraction, just spotted a song called “You Ma Friend” with Method Man so its a classic

SC2 was ok. Not sure I’ll ever listen to it again, though.

None of these Mass Appeal throwbacks have been very good. Not bad, but also not memorable.

This is quite good

Kind of lost track of what’s left… posthumous Big L?

The Nas and Premier album. Maybe a new De La too?

Even more Boldy anyone? Tbf, quite excited about this one if it does land.

He’s done his best work with Alc imo, so would definitely listen.

Similar kind of feeling. As a 2025 Ghostface album, it’s a decent return to form and a step in the right direction. As a follow up to Supreme Clientele, some 15 years in the making, it’s a bit of a disaster. Should have just released it as its own thing.

Feels very likely that the whole thing will be a flop. Not convinced any of the rest will be that good either. Don’t think the marketing push or anything around them has been good/fun either.

Ranked from highest to lowest probability of being decent:

Big L - A load of remixed and remastered loosies, rarities etc. Can’t go too wrong, also probably a ceiling to how good it can be.
De La Soul - Despite not really liking the anonymous nobody, they’ve not released a bad record. Depends how much got done before Trugoy passed I guess.
Nas & Preemo - Arriving at least two decades too late. Both have been on decent enough form recently, but it’s just not the same.
Mobb Deep - No chance this’ll be any good is there?

Will get the de la soul because it’s de la soul but I would hope they cut the collabs, anonymous nobody is great for the tiny bit they’re rapping on, rest is tedious garbage. Definetly not an lp I revisit

Voted interested though I didn’t manage to join in the last one due to time constraints. Hope to be able to squeeze it in this time

Yeah this is really great, just listened for the first time after hearing the billy & Armand Hammer tracks a few times.

New Westside Gunn sounded pretty good on first go, best thing he’s put out for a little while there I reckon
