Rolling techno/house/electronic/dance/whatever 2024

May as well start the new thread.

I’d missed John Tejada’s album last year. Lovely warm techno.

Anyway, here’s to another great year of music!

Purelink’s RA podcast was a good ease-in back to work soundtrack yesterday.

4 hours of Ben Sims for Ilian Tape. Having seen him mix I’d guess there’s going to be at least 200 tracks on this one

New Year’s Eve was fun and Octo Octa popped over to the warehouse rave I paid a tenner for for a set . Looking forward to what the year has in store

Went to Adonis on New Year’s Day, 10am start. Feet still hurt. Great way to start the year though!

Has anyone seen rips of the 6music queermas mixes, particularly Dorian Electra’s? Or know a good way of ripping it from Sounds?

This is a great bit of techno, but I’m completely unable to tell you just what kind of techno it is.

Is she complaining about having to pay for using samples? She should have a word with De La Soul…

Stumbled across this release from Friday and it’s excellent:

I presume everyone has also seen the Skee Mask demo release too:

There are a couple of scripts you can download from BBC Sounds with: get_iplayer (BBC-specific) and yt-dlp (a fork of an older tool, youtube-dl - can download from lots of services). Don’t know of any more user-friendly options, but they’re ok if you’re comfortable with the command line.

Volkor X has released an instrumental version of The Loop, so now it’s a wild sci fi version of early M83 with some post rock touches and no narration. It’s really good.

I like Xpander a lot but this live version, fuck me. I’ve rinsed it

Really enjoying this fast & furious set from Schacke

Mixing isn’t exactly his strong point but I’m hyped to hear what he plays
