Seeking advice from Manchester dissers

Anyone down for this on the 20th? Make a meat of it?

I shall be there, obvs. I’ve also got a tour that day

Can I opt for eating my own eyeballs instead?

You can just not go and see it. I thought it was great. Warm as toast.

This parrot in a glass box has the chance to be truly something spectacular by the weekend. My guess glass box shattered carried to the White Hotel in a parade and given a big drink.

Uniting everyone, favourite comment so far is Manchester City Council washing their hands of it. Hope someone asks Burnham for a comment.

I posted yesterday about a police escort through town and the cars were full of foreign military, no one seems to know anything about it and there’s no news reports, anyway, now I thinking maybe it was the Rio rescue team

Could be some form of training since SAS use Mediacity a fair bit for it?

It was dead fancy cars, just about three of them, going through town and the men I saw were quite old and looked high up the ranks. I didn’t recognise the uniform but wouldn’t surprise me if it was Israeli as they looked possibly West Asian

Long shot, but has anyone been to a place in Ashton called Balkan Heart?

No, but Top End around the corner is good and cheap, cash only.

Loads of seagulls flying over M21/M16 all morning. Must be fifty miles from the nearest coast. Never noticed that before. Is that a regular thing?

Loads of seagulls on the shipping canal.

Interesting fact, for a year or so before they moved the filming of Corrie down to the new studio in Trafford park, they were mixing seagull noise into the ambient sound mix so that it wouldn’t be a stark change once they’d moved.

Yeah, I see them here from time to time. Quite a few more in the NQ last week than usual too. Just here for all the rubbish aren’t they. Drawn in by our ludicrous amounts of litter

Would love to run into this fella. Think of him often.

hellooo manchester folks - got to do a final JAG on this because i have infinite fear about no-one coming - i am putting a gig on on Friday at the Kamera Ballroom (above the Lloyd & Platt) in Chorlton. My friend Grace Elizabeth Harvey is playing first and she makes the most lush dreamy folk music and is playing as a trio (with drums and double bass) and then I’m playing a full band gig with a bunch of stuff from the album i released earlier this month

and tickets are here at this link Creepy Crawly - I Feel It On My Skin

and if you use the magical code BUTTERCUP they are half price

other reasons you should come:

  • there is no significant world cup game at that point in time (unless you really wanted to watch australia vs egypt)
  • because of the world cup there is absolutely no live music anywhere, and maybe you are missing live music?
  • the temperature will NOT be 30+ degrees on Friday - it will be a lovely temperate temperature - a sensible gig going temperature
  • my bandfolks are insanely good at doing the playing of music
  • i will not be doing another show until late October/November at the absolute earliest

ok pls tell your friends or something, help out a largely failing independent ā€˜artist’ thanks
