Finished MAdM’s book last week and it’s really good. She’s quite complimentary about William Patrick in it so not surprised to see this pop up.

Said it before but her Wikipedia page is my favourite Wikipedia page because of the meeting Corgan section

Confirmed true a few minutes into the video! I had no idea that’s how he and Melissa met, I thought it was just a random fight.

I can’t wait to read it, I’m just waiting for it to come in to my library. Happy to hear it’s good.

There’s not a ton of Pumpkins stuff - lion’s share of it is Hole - still good though. Also an epilogue but where she lets us know that she went out with David Grohl for a couple of years, which is actually very sweet.

This video is so good. A must watch if you have any interest in the Pumpkins, Hole, 90s music in general.

The video touches on it, but it really is amazing how much Billy was vilified in the 90s for committing the crimes of a) being professional and b) caring about making something great in an era when it was cool not to care.

ZuZu’s just posted this image and are teasing a “major release” tomorrow. It’s soundtracked by The Everlasting Gaze.

Heart says the final Metro show.

Head says limited edition Machina loose tea or some shit

There’s a shadow of a spoon and a tea strainer so I’d set your expectations accordingly if I were you

rumours currently abound in the chicagoland area that consuming the zuzu special blend tea leaf by the method of “bongal smokage” offers a temporary window into corgan’s dark psyche. can any locals confirm?

Got to the end finally, two major reveals by Billy in the last 9 minutes

  • for the final show, they practiced for four weeks and he has all of those sessions recorded :eyes:
  • Billy wanted to do a secret brand new album, written and recorded entirely in January 2001 - warts and all - to document the last breaths of the band post-Machina, and release it sometime in the future as a time capsule, but James and Melissa said no. Melissa didn’t remember and regrets it now.

Oh my god

This is not incredible, nightmare blunt rotation and quite a lot of bitchy carping about Kim Gordon
