Only really know Remain in Light plus the big singles from other albums. Been meaning to delve into their back catalogue for many years, so this should be ideal.
Just have the first four albums and down to listen to more.
Also, I had borrowed the Stop Making Sense CD for a while but never saw the movie which is one of those huge oversights Iāll take the excuse to fix.
My previous read is that they have a load of great songs, but only one great album (but what a fucking great album it is). Hoping to be proven wrong
Oh fuck yeah. IN
Bernie Worrell needs his fair due. One of the greatest keyboardists of time. A lot probably only recognize him from Stop Making Sense (hope not) one of main catalysts of Parliament Funkadelic. God at the instrument.
Once IN a Lifetime
Which album?
Remain in Light

Am I the only person who thinks Fear of Music is peak Talking Heads rather than Remain in Light (as perfect as it is) ?

Oooh, this could be fun. There are a couple of their albums I am very familiar with and some I have never listened to before so this will be a great excuse to finally get round to listening to those.
More Songs⦠is up there for me to be honest
I mean, what a band
Yeah, go on then, iāll join in.
Good morning!
We kick off today with Talking Heads: 77!
One I donāt often return to. The simpler sound and songwriting doesnāt do much for me but there are quite a few individual gems that are in my more regular Talking Heads regulation.
I am coming to this again as a whole piece with open ears. Think Iāll press play around 11am.
Talking Heads: 77 is a great album title imo.
What are your three favourite songs on the album?
- Uh-Oh, Love Comes To Town
- New Feeling
- Tentative Decisions
- Happy Day
- Who Is It?
- No Compassion
- The Book I Read
- Donāt Worry About The Government
- First Week / Last Week⦠Carefree
- Psycho Killer
- Pulled Up
Am enjoying this quite a lot. Incredible how much more space there is in these songs, especially when you contrast against Remain in Light and Speaking in Tongues when thereās always something happening.
