I’ve never heard of them until now but holy fuck, Dave was in a band I knew called Mongrel back in the 90s. I sometimes joined them on guitar for some songs when they played live.

Blows my mind that people I played with in bands back in school days in Bridgend of all places actually went out and got properly popular. Funeral For A Friend, Bullet For My Valentine and now these.
I just remember at the time wishing there were people making music that didn’t just want to be heavy af.

Something weird going on with them. Did they really sell twice as many albums as Bon iver? Reckon Earrache has found a chart loophole as they charted high with Skindred too. I get they are a live draw but no one is putting on a Skindred album of an evening, are they?

I’ve been in metal bars before and people have pointed at some hair men standing around like that’s Those Damn Crows and I still don’t know who they are, but I am glad they’ve done well.
They sold out Cardiff Castle last Summer so it’s not come out of nowhere, just think it’s a sphere nobody here is aware of.
