I think I said in here when I watched the original Invite that it was so obvious which character Rogen would be and exactly how heād play various scenes, and from the trailer that was spot on.
Looking forward to it but probably not a cinema visit.
I recommend seeing it in the cinema, infectious with everyone laughing together.

Completely agree with JPās thoughts on this one, for me The Invite (2026) is the film of the year so far, good luck Odyssey!
Screenplay was written by Rashida Jones (the US Office), Directed by Olivia Wilde (Booksmart) and edited by Yorgos Mavropsaridis who is Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things) editor, with a perfect cast.
Reminded me of Woody Allenās writing with deep thought-out characters with interesting interactions, as well as Polanskiās film Carnage which I loved, thankfully The Invite has none of the nasty baggage that comes with those two nasty men.
Laughed throughout, wouldnāt change anything with it, canāt wait to watch it again.

Liked The Invite a lot but not how anxious I felt the whole time. Also I know it wouldnāt be much of a film if theyād depcited things differently but it does make me laugh how orgies and that are always like oh but the relationship might not survive it when thatās just not how the majority of sex parties ever pan out. Not an issue but with this film, just the trope of it all elsewhere
Anyway, good film.

I think it would stress me out if I was already feeling fragile. Camerawork and editing is very frantic (I found it irritating and a Bit Much even stone cold sober)

Yeah this. I was extremely irritable whilst watching it and so wish theyād chilled out with the tense string music that accompanied Wilde everytime she was spiralling, and I thought Iād probably enjoy it more if I was a bit stoned

Would love to see it at the BFI IMAX but will probably see it in what is a much local much IMAX. Oddly enough, itās where I first saw Inception even though I didnāt live in the area.
I urge anyone who watched The Invite to watch Splitsville if they havenāt already
