Bruce Springsteen
Just an older gentlemen singing about blue collar work in a specific part of America. Can’t relate to is and cannot differentiate the subtitles in his work that get people coming back to it. How is this guy still relevant? Feels like you need to understand the context to get the draw
Pixies
Definitely okay but I don’t understand the pedestal that they inhabit

Refuse to believe it’s anything but an elaborate joke series
An unfathomably shite band.
This sounds like it was written by Adam Buxton.

Beastie Boys, always surprises me that people think they’re anything more than novelty rap rock

Inspired by the Mercury chat, I like PJ Harvey a lot, but didn’t really get Let England Shake or Hope Six Demolition Project.
I liked the album from this year but have have listened to it once to be fair so can’t make a solid conclusion.

Pavement are pretty middling and very often veer into being just annoying imo. Don’t get why they’re revered so much.
Sonic Youth are another band I don’t like that much, though Daydream Nation is great.

Didn’t even bother with this year’s album after the last two but maybe I should.
Elastica
Titus Andronicus
Sly and the Family Stone
Led Zeppelin
Radiohead, obviously. Incel anthems.

Well it would be if they were funny. Tried to listen to the episode with Jerry Harrison and had to turn it off after a few minutes.
