Who has bought into the hygge hyppe, then?

don’t think you’d describe a pie as gezellig actually but then again people are probably all using hygge wrong

I did a little digging into what this hygge lark is and, turns out, it’s pretty much in accordance with what I do anyway. Principally with regards to how I organise my home etc.

So yeah, I beat everyone to it.

I feel like this could already be applicable to me too. It just means living under blankets and having soft comfy socks and warm drinks doesnt it ?

The danish version definitely includes a lot of booze.

It’s the same. Also the same as gemütlich.

Not completely. Because there’s no direct English translation for it it’s quite slippery to define. Other elements of it are keeping your affairs/possessions minimal and uncluttered and being community/family minded and that. But yeah cosiness is a big part, which is pretty much the motivation for 80% of what I do.

Just means buying a load of ikea shit and watching the killing I think

Very not hyggelig of Geoff, really. Spoiling the lovely atmosphere.

Or the fault of the other one I guess.

I know I just put my stroopwafel down to sip my camomile tea and I accidentally put it on my shift key - hence the caps.

Stopping ruining my hygge Geoff.

Oh I ruin everything. Still #hygglife though.

Stroopwaffels are dutch and therefor gezellig, mate. Get your country right.

If you just hide under a blanket with a few candles, it will all just go away.

Wonder what time these dicks put their heating on?
