Woah!
Ashley Banjo - whatever happened to him? And the kid with the hair. He’s about 6’6" now.
He was great for a short while, some of the early singles and the 1st LP have some crackers on and he was great live while he could still hold it all together.
I got bored pretty quick and couldn’t comment on 90% of his material but yeah, for a while genuinely ace
Oh, look what you’ve done to this rock ‘n’ roll clown
Oh-oh, look what you’ve done

He seemed pretty popular with the public and was written about a lot around the time of ‘The Hour of Bewilderbeast’. It won the Mercury Prize that year and, according to Wikipedia, has sold half a million copies in the UK.
He’s a famous podcaster now

Doesn’t even mention the Mumford here
Pretty perfect career really. Got to experience the whirlwind rush of fame in her late 20s/early 30s, played to massive crowds, yet can probably walk down the street with no one recognising her. Presumably still makes quite a lot in royalties, with almost as many monthly streamers as U2 and a writing credit on maybe Eminem’s biggest song.

This also happened to coincide with music industry historical peak revenue just before filesharing took to the mainstream
She’s totally loaded
maybe Eminem’s biggest song.
Only his 9th biggest song as of one year ago - but still over a billion streams even then

It all went downhill after that Q&A with Adam Buxton
13 months after the debut album though
from nowhere to that peak to nowhere in about 2 years

Klaxons. They won a Mercury Prize and everything.
