This is massive, so good. Glad he’s still putting out such quality music and not becoming a heritage act (was a bit worried as he’s playing a Bristol show next month that’s running 8pm-2am in acknowledgment that most of the crowd will probably need to be up the next morning).

Oh fuck that’s such sad news. One of the best DJs spanning the crossover between industrial, techno and new wave. And the Sandwell District LP still one of my absolute favourite records of the last 15 years.

That’s terrible, he can’t have been that old. Was just starting to get Sandwell District moving again as well. Their Fabric mix was a massively important record for me, pure machine music.

Loved Silent Servant’s music, very little of that period of dark moody techno really connected with me but his did. His NTS show was always worth a listen as well

I subscribe to YUKU on BC. This popped up yesterday and has blown me away. Really emotional and atmospheric hardcore/jungle stuff mostly, with bits of pure ambient and other stuff thrown in. I defy anyone to get as far as 2nd track Now I Know Paradise and not have surrendered to it completely. Just gorgeous stuff.
